Hotel Realm awarded in multiple categories of the AHA Awards for Excellence 2010
On Monday evening Hotel Realm, Canberra was awarded the ACT AHA Best Hotel Restaurant – Konoba Restaurant, AHA Best Hotel Bar – Ostani lounge, bar & restaurant, AHA Best Hotel Functions and Events, AHA Best Outdoor Function Entertainment Area and AHA Best Apprentice Chef – Highly Commended. The 2010 Canberra awards recognised the outstanding performances by Canberra hospitality venues with the Canberra area.
The AHA Best Hotel Restaurant awards acknowledge the Hotel Realm – Konoba Restaurant as the highest achieving hotel culinary restaurant within Canberra. Konoba Restaurant has now achieved this award for two consecutive years. The Executive Chefs have played significant roles in developing new and innovative ways to produce the highest quality food sourced from local and regional suppliers.
The AHA Best Hotel Bar, AHA Best Outdoor Entertaining Area and AHA Best Apprentice Chef – Highly Commended is a deserving acknowledgement to Ostani lounge, bar & restaurant and the collaboration behind the newly crowned winner. Since opening in late September 2009, Ostani set a benchmark in the Canberra market with the eclectic fit-out, traditional wood fired pizzas, tapas and outdoor seating facilities. The design of Ostani was based upon zoning areas for mixed uses. Jenn Willemsen from Miyabi Designs created the unique fit-out with anticipation it‟s create a feel unlike any other venue in Canberra. Prior to Ostani, Hotel Realm operated the former Bacchus Bar that which also gained recognition as the winner of AHA Best Hotel Bar for two consecutive years – 2008 and 2009. This award is a testament to both the Hotel Realm and the many people involved in creating Ostani and alluring its patrons to stay‟.
The AHA Best Functions and Events award recognises the world-class facilities housed within Hotel Realm. The hotel banqueting team is dedicated to providing service with complete poise and professionalism within a comfortable, understated, luxurious environment. All facets of the hotel function areas have been designed to envelope the guests in 5 Star facilities. Strong acknowledgment to the hotel banqueting Executive Chef Natalie Ojielumhen for the consistently acclaimed culinary skills which propels Hotel Realm into a realm of its own within the Canberra market.
These awards are a testament to Hotel Realm and its dedication to providing its guests with 5 Star services.
The AHA awards have a rigorous judging process, whereby nominations are put forward to a panel of industry notables, who decide the finalists and winners.
